For the first time in history, Brno is hosting the prestigious annual conference of the British Design History Society—one of the world’s most prominent gatherings of experts in the history and theory of design. From September 3 to 5, the event is hosted by Masaryk University and its Centre for Modern Art & Theory at the Faculty of Arts. This marks the first-ever edition of the conference held in Central Europe.
This year’s theme, "Design in an Age of Uncertainty," responds to key global challenges—from the climate crisis and sustainability to technological shifts and social responsibility. The conference will feature dozens of lectures and panel discussions with leading international figures across design, architecture, and philosophy.
We are delighted that DOMOPLAN can be part of this global conversation as a proud partner.
"For DOMOPLAN, supporting projects that shift the perception of architecture, sustainability, and design from mere theory into the real world comes naturally. As a Brno-based company, we are proud that Masaryk University is becoming the center of a global debate on the future of design. In an era of major social and technological transformation, we need open platforms like this to forge sustainable, responsible paths forward. We are honored to stand alongside them as partners."
